A vegan of over a decade and a half, Julia Feliz is an author, professional resource activist, content editor, writer, and illustrator with a background in science/research with over 25 years of experience. Julia’s work is taught in universities and cited by academics around the world. Julia is also the founder of Sanctuary Publishers, a non-traditional book publisher focused on consistent anti-oppression, a term they coined to help bridge social justice movements, and in raising voices. Among many other projects, they also founded the nonprofit New Pride Flag as a call to center the most marginalized in the 2SLGBTQIA+ movement.
